The Renaissance town of Torgau combines the proximity to Leipzig with the proximity to nature. Situated on the Elbe, Torgau is the ideal starting point for many excursions in the region. The wonderfully developed Elbe cycle path leads you up and down the river along the Elbe meadows. The Dübener Heide as well as the mixed forests in the surrounding area invite you to go hiking and walking. Whether for recreation or on a discovery tour - everyone will find what they are looking for in the region. The Renaissance town of Torgau offers families a livable and affordable home. Art and cultural events are also on offer, not least at Hartenfels Castle. In the summer of 2022, the state horticultural show was held here.

AVANCIS branch

Located north of Torgau's city center, the AVANCIS plant is an integral part of the companies located in the industrial park there. This is where our CIGS modules are produced, subjected to various quality tests and then shipped to our customers. Researchers from all over Germany come together here to advance the development of our full-size module, which means transferring the results of basic research in Munich to the large-format solar module. The development of new product concepts and strategies, international factory planning as well as administration, occupational health and safety and purchasing are located in Torgau. Around 250 people are employed at the site. Torgau benefits from its proximity to Leipzig. Thanks to local public transport, our branch can be reached from the trade fair city in 45 minutes.
