Skelleftea, November 2021
The Sara Kulturhus in Skelleftea, Sweden, is AVANCIS’ northernmost project to date.
The world’s second-highest wooden skyscraper contains 12,200 m3 of wood, the supporting structure, the entire construction, and even the driving school shafts are made of wood. This building is used as a cultural center, for exhibitions, as a library, hotel and public passage. In this architectural masterpiece, sustainability and aesthetics achieve a wonderful consensus.
Approximately 400 m2 of solar facade was installed at a height of 80 m. Our bronze-colored SKALA modules enclose the SPA area located on the top floor and are a wonderful complement to the building’s wooden structure.
More photos as well as other reference objects can be found on our SKALA website.
