Occupational safety and environmental protection specialist (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities:

• As an occupational safety officer, you will ensure compliance with statutory occupational safety and accident prevention requirements
• You advise on all issues relating to environmental protection and support the implementation of legal and operational requirements
• As waste management officer, you ensure the implementation of waste management regulations
• You maintain the legal register
• You work towards compliance with binding obligations, for example by conducting internal audits and organizing and participating in external certification audits
• You will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the occupational health and safety and environmental protection management system (ISO 14001, OHSAS)
• You will participate in the company suggestion scheme
• You will assist in planning, training and practicing emergency preparedness and hazard prevention measures

Requirements:

• You have a university/college degree in the field of science or engineering or a comparable field of specialization, or you have a technician's degree with a corresponding focus
• Ideally, you have already gained relevant professional experience in a manufacturing company
• You have a profound knowledge of occupational safety, health protection and are experienced in the implementation of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
• You have a good knowledge of ecological correlations (environmental aspect and impact), environmental and occupational health and safety law and the sub-legislative regulations on the state of the art
• You have initial experience in the preparation of risk assessments and operating instructions
• You are characterized by a structured and independent way of working; in addition, you have excellent communication skills
• You are confident in using MS Office and have basic knowledge of SAP
• A good knowledge of written and spoken English completes your profile
