Your responsibilities:

  • You undertake the technical and organizational responsibility for the assigned equipment within automated production
  • You optimize the process and equipment parameters in terms of process stability, cycle time and operating costs
  • You are responsible for the transfer of development products and manufacturing processes from laboratory scale to automated series production
  • You carry out tests and evaluations as part of the continuous improvements to equipment, processes and products
  • You evaluate the processing results using statistical methods
  • In addition, you will conduct training and education of production and maintenance staff and create work instructions
  • You will be responsible for organizing and instructing quality controls on the equipment together with the shift personnel
  • You are the contact person for technical questions of suppliers from the tendering to the acceptance of the plants as well as maintenance measures
  • You will be involved in HAZOP and design FMEA studies for new plant concepts
  • In addition, you will support the execution of acceptance tests at international locations

Requirements:

  • You have successfully completed your university degree in the field of chemistry or materials science, ideally with additional training as an adhesive engineer, and have professional experience in industrial production
  • Knowledge in the area of joining technology, especially in the area of adhesive technology and/or lamination is desirable
  • Ideally, you have knowledge and experience in the quality standards ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and in project management
  • Your strengths include the ability to integrate into a team, very good communication skills, the ability to deal with conflict and assertiveness
  • Your work is characterized by goal orientation, high perseverance and assertiveness
  • You are willing to travel nationally and internationally from time to time
  • Very good written and spoken English and German complete your profile
