Development engineer coating processes for solar cells (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities:

• You develop innovative processes in the field of structuring and contacting the solar cell
• Your focus is on the development of new coating processes, e.g.: Metallization/GRID using solution-based printing processes (ink-jet) including thermal post-treatment
• In order to increase the technical potential, you will further develop both the material composition and the process and plant concepts of chemical engineering
• As the person responsible for the process on the pilot line, you guide the operators, create process regulations, intervene when problems arise and implement continuous improvements
• Last but not least, your focus is on the integration of the new GRID system into the existing pilot line

Requirements:

• You have successfully completed your university degree in physics, process engineering, mechanical engineering or materials science and ideally have initial professional experience with coating technology or have successfully written a thesis in the field of solution-based printing processes
• In addition, you have good knowledge of the physical principles of semiconductor components
• You have already proven your communication and consulting skills and developed an awareness of working with internal and external partners
• Your way of working is structured and you have very good analytical skills, which you use in a solution- and process-oriented manner
• You are proficient in common office applications
• You are ready for occasional domestic and international travel
• Last but not least you have good written and spoken German and English skills as well
