AVANCIS shows impressive solar sculpture at China International Import Expo. German CIGS manufacturer presents solar energy as INFINITY showcase made of thin-film modules

Torgau / Shanghai Hongqiao Center (CIIE) – November 7th, 2019 – AVANCIS, leading German manufacturer of premium PV modules, shows up with a unique construction at the 2. China International Import Expo, taking place from November 5th to 10th, 2019 in Shanghai. As a subsidiary of the Chinese building materials group CNBM, AVANCIS is showing the energy-producing sculpture THE INFINITY. The structure presents itself to the viewer from different perspectives as an infinity sign or an Eight, which stands for luck in China. AVANCIS already impressed visitors at CIIE last year with a twisted double helix structure with the SKALA product for façades and infrastructural facilities.

Torgau / Ochang (South Korea), July 19, 2018 – AVANCIS, German manufacturer of premium thin-film modules, celebrated in a festive ceremony the reopening of its CIGS PV factory in Ochang, South Korea. The ceremony of the symbolic start of production was held with company representatives from AVANCIS KOREA, AVANCIS Germany and the President of its parent company CNBM, Prof. Peng Shou, as well as government representatives from the Korean province of Chungbuk.

The solar façade of the new building at Senn Areal in Bern, a residential and commercial building, now produces its own electricity. The façade generates a total solar power of 12 MWh per year current on 135 sm by 130 PowerMax® SKALA PV modules.
