The German Act Granting Priority to Renewable Energy Sources (EEG) stipulates that you will receive a fixed payment for 20 years – the exact amount will depend on the year in which your system was put into operation and also on its size. In other words, the earlier you start, the higher the feed-in tariff per kilowatt hour (kWh).
