At the AVANCIS facility in Munich, we are researching the future of photovoltaics. Our excellent research and development department is working on increasing the output of CIS modules and making their manufacture even more efficient.

Record efficiency, cost reduction, even higher power yield (kWh/kWp): our employees are working on systematically optimising our CIS modules and researching methods to make the individual production steps even more cost-efficient. To do this, we are using our own pilot line, in which test modules from 10 x 10 cm² up to the original size can be produced and tested against numerous criteria.

Performing our own factory planning allows cost-optimised production of high-quality solar modules

AVANCIS is also one of the few manufacturers working on the development of new machines for the production of solar modules. This naturally requires expert staff and specialists: the factory planning and construction department at the AVANCIS facility in Munich develops future-focused plant architectures. It controls investment projects from the concept planning stage right through to the handover of the complete, turnkey solar plant at the construction site – with the aim of sustainable, cost-effective production. As a result, we gain know-how that only a few other solar module manufacturers possess.
